Neighborhood Print Studio Facilities

Neighborhood Print Studio is a 3,000-square-foot community print studio dedicated to providing affordable and accessible professional workspace and resources for individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels to explore and engage various printmaking techniques. Our studio offers a multitude of classes covering various printmaking methods as well as a print membership program for open studio use.

Print Store:

Our studio has an in house print store where students and members can buy an assortment of paper, ink, digital transparencies, linoleum, copper, aluminum and zinc plates

Neighborhood Print Studio is committed to providing safe and sustainable practices, limiting toxic chemicals and reducing our footprint on the planet.

Ways our Studio implements green practices:

  • Water Soluble Cranfield Inks
  • Clean-up using only water, soap, vegetable oil, and simple green.
  • Reusable rags for cleaning to reduce waste.
  • Reusing newsprint and paper
  • Reusing non biodegradable materials such as tetra pak for collagraph plates
  • Recycling paper
  • Non-toxic intaglio alternatives such as using B.I.G Ground and Soy Solvent
  • Non-toxic aquatint alternatives using floor wax and india ink replacing rosin
  • Filtrating screen printing ink and flocculating accumulating micro plastics
  • Replacing plastic tape for screen printing with water soluble block out.

Once a year Neighborhood Print Studio and The DRAW host Eco-Arts week, a week of arts-driven explorations into sustainability through workshops, lectures and exhibits for the community.
