Neighborhood Print Studio Inquiry Form

A one-year Subscription to the Neighborhood Print Studio at MKAD costs between $120-$250 per year plus a one-time $60 deposit. This subscription is non-refundable and non-transferable. The deposit can carry over from year to year but must be maintained at $60.

This entitles users to book time at the Print Studio during open studio hours for $10 per hour in one-hour blocks. The time includes setup, printing, and clean up.

Patrons receive a discount on items purchased for use in the studio.

Neighborhood Print Studio is committed to providing safe and sustainable practices, limiting toxic chemicals and reducing our footprint on the planet.

Ways our Studio implements green practices:

  • Water Soluble Cranfield Inks
  • Clean-up using only water, soap, vegetable oil, and simple green.
  • Reusable rags for cleaning to reduce waste.
  • Reusing newsprint and paper
  • Reusing non biodegradable materials such as tetra pak for collagraph plates
  • Recycling paper
  • Non-toxic intaglio alternatives such as using B.I.G Ground and Soy Solvent
  • Non-toxic aquatint alternatives using floor wax and india ink replacing rosin
  • Filtrating screen printing ink and flocculating accumulating micro plastics
  • Replacing plastic tape for screen printing with water soluble block out.

Once a year Neighborhood Print Studio and The DRAW host Eco-Arts week, a week of arts-driven explorations into sustainability through workshops, lectures and exhibits for the community.
