MKAD presents the 2025 Steamroller Print Fest
Steamroller Print Fest returns during Art Walk Kingston
On Saturday, September 20th (rain date: September 21st) from 12-4 pm, MKAD will be using the entirety of Iwo Jima Lane to hold the 2025 Steamroller Print Fest! This supersized event is a printmaking tradition and celebration of the many artists in our community. 30+ local artists are coming together after carving their own 2 square feet linoleum blocks over five weeks, each representative of the artists’ spectacular individual styles. Right out in the road an actual steamroller will be driven on-site to print these large blocks, culminating in a stunning array of artworks! You can witness the printing process live, meet the artists, and enjoy live music and hot food all right there on Iwo Jima Lane in Kingston.
At the same time, the Neighborhood Print Studio and the DRAW Gallery will both be open to the public and presenting even more art. The Neighborhood Print Studio will act as an exhibition space where everyone can come in and check out the printed editions up-close. Our community facilities will be used to print lino block t-shirts live at the event and tours will be provided of our professional equipment. On top of that, guests are encouraged to cross the street to check out the 2025 Teaching Artists Show at the DRAW Gallery. There will be an incredible variety of art on display, representing the local art educators and the works of MKAD’s own staff team! Of the 21 artists being displayed, we’re including Lara Giordano, Maxine Leu, Tana Kellner, Chris O’Neal, Pablo Shine, Micah Fornari, and many more!
“Our Steamroller artists have been hard at work carving their blocks and printing their editions. All of the printed editions will be on sale at our print studio during the event to support our studio and the participating artists.
Come visit our studio to get acquainted with The Neighborhood Print Studio and stick around for the extravaganza of live printing with a steamroller!”
