Jocelyn Bergen

Jocelyn Bergen has been making limited-edition book art for many years, exploring the narrative potential of folded paper structures, and small books that can fit in your pocket. With BAs in English and Fine Art from UC Berkeley, Ms Bergen studied printmaking, painting, and graphic arts processes, and has worked as a graphic designer and production artist, digital typographer, and interaction designer, all of which have informed her sometimes digitally produced yet fully hand-made multiples.

Ever fascinated by the book as an art form, Bay Area book arts classes led her to work with the Pacific Center for the Book Arts, and the San Francisco Center for the Book. At SFCB she participated as a board member, and taught workshops in book structures and design. Since relocating from California to the Hudson Valley, Jocelyn teaches book art, decorated paper, paper sculpture, and printing classes at various studios and libraries in Kingston NY and environs. Her book and art imprint is Zephyrine Press: www.zephyrinepress.com
