The Ben Wigfall Perpetuity Project, a collaboration between The Dorsky Museum, the Midtown Kingston Arts District (MKAD) and SUNY New Paltz, introduces Kingston 8th graders to the legacy of artist, activist, and educator Ben Wigfall (1930–2017), inspiring them to explore artmaking as a means of self-expression and community engagement. Throughout the program, students have studied Wigfall’s impact, visited The Dorsky Museum, worked in print studios at SUNY New Paltz and the MKAD Neighborhood Print Studio—where they even printed on Wigfall’s press—and engaged with local artists.
